There have been a few comments left by members about where to get updated maps etc, this is all fine and helps keeping our versions up to date.

BUT you must be aware of how AA works and how we manage the versions at AAOTTS.

WHAT MAP VERSION
The server and client version must be the same. The file size and name must match. If you download other versions you will have to make sure you find a server running that version.

MAP UPDATE PROCESS
If you find we are running an older version, drop a comment on the map or post into the forums and we'll update it, noramlly the servers get updated 3 times a week. So any changes will get scheduled for the next server update.

RECOMMENDATION
I strongly recommend you always use the download links via AAOTTS if your going to play on our servers (or members servers who use our versions).

Remember the AAOTTS servers will always run the version we have avaliable via the Download button, any mirrors should be exactly the same BUT in cases like High Seas Assault where the author updates the file it can break the link, if you want to play on aaotts servers don't go looking for a new version as it won't be on the server, use the Download button because that is the exact file used on the server.
