Feel free to use the following site as an alternative download location, if needed.

America's Army 2.8.5 - Custom Co-op Maps
test132456.com/joomla/index.php/s3reader

I'll try to keep the files up-to-date but if something is missing, please let me know. Likewise, if anyone receives an "Access Denied" message when attempting downloads, please let me know and I'll apply the correct permissions.

About the files: I've tried to add every custom co-op map that I've found over the last few years. Sometimes, there are multiple versions of a map are released with the same filename (::cough:: KMan ::cough::). In such cases I've replaced the older file with the newer version and reposted the older version under a slightly different name which reflects, to the best of my knowledge, the version's release date. This explains, for example, the various versions of "The Mesa" available.

About the site content: as of right now, I've left the default Joomla site text in place. The only changes I made were to add one news article, install the custom download component, and modify the header images used.

About the domain: Yes, I'm keenly aware that the numbers in the domain name are out of sequence. Yes, I'm aware that 2 typically comes before 3. Yes, as a matter of fact, I was very tired when I registered the domain, thankyouverymuch.

Hi Zonker nice work with this,

I didn't get back to you via PM. I'll check it out in more detail and will be happy to chat about integration should that be an option to consider.

Great work putting it together. It has certainly developed well.

Cheers
TT

Thanks, TT. I would still like to do more work on it (enable support for using multiple buckets, configurable links with parameters, allow users to customize the stylesheets, etc.) but the basics are there. For a single download bucket, it works fine.

If you want to integrate it into AAOTTS, we can talk about how that would work. Otherwise, I'm fine with leaving it up as an alternative location to take on some of the burdens of the AAOTTS bandwidth/storage costs.

The Joomla portion of the domain appears to be having some problems...possibly related to the site using search engine-friendly URLs. I've disabled that for now but that means that the URL for the download page has changed.

If anyone decides to bookmark the download page, I recommend that you bookmark the site URL and use the "America's Army Maps" link on the left sidebar.

test132456.com/joomla/

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

------------------------------------
UPDATE: The server errors appear to be the result of an inappropriate setting in the default Joomla installation. I've corrected the setting and restored the search engine-friendly URLs so the original s3reader link is now valid again. Nonetheless, I recommend using the main site URL (shown above in this post) to navigate, just in case future site changes affect the links. If anyone encounters problems with the site or the download links, please let me know.
